COMMENTS: William Erle was a European landscape painter.  During his lifetime he became highly inspired by “other Fauvist painters like Van Gogh and worked hard to achive this unique painting technique. His role models were fellow artists like Corot and Turner.

1891 : The Royal academy of art in Copenhagen.
1893: Artschool in Dresden, Germany
1920: Took Croquis drawing classes in Rue de la Grande Chaumiere in Paris
