From childhood, Alexander was surrounded by an artistic atmosphere. His father took him for sketches, opened to him the nuts and bolts of painting still life and landscape. Naturally, he enrolled at and successfully graduated from Ukrainian Taras Shevchenko State Art School with honor in 1965, and from Kyiv National Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture (NAOMA), Ukraine in 1971. Alexander Masyk had a special natural gift of the vision of his future work’s composition. He worked quickly, his brush confidently models the form, and his color solutions represented a real solution performance in different genres of which the artist had a perfect command. Artist worked well in oil and tempera painting, pastel drawing, owns etchings, linocuts, and woodcuts.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAlexander Masyk took part in exhibitions from 1970 and  won numerous awards. He visited a lot of countries and his paintings eloquently tell about his trips.
